        Celebration: A downtown parade and masquerade ball are featured as the colorful Sierra foothills town of Nevada City celebrates Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball will be held in historic Miners Foundry, 325 Spring Street. On Saturday, the parade begins at 2 p.m. and moves down Broad Street through the center of town.
